I bought it at a company auction that went bankrupt. I went all through it and made sure everything worked and cleaned it up. I used to work there, so I know that they spent close to $2K on the system when they bought it 3 years ago. The onboard NIC isn’t turned on because they installed a better card to use. You’ll probably need the drivers for your modem though, in case it doesn’t recognize it.
that pc would be worth around £200 or $400.
I dual boot with xp pro and vista ultimate, and have never had any problems with either one, they both perform about the same, with xp having a very slight advantage in the graphics dept.
there is nothing wrong with vista, if you have 2 gigs of ram and a decent graphic card it’s fine.
try it on a decent pc before you jump on any passing bandwagons.
