Small Business Server 2003 server shuts down after 2 hours?
Hello. My Windows 2003 server small business server shuts down automatically after approximately 2 hours running. It gives no errors just says the system is shutting down. Also I can not omputers client to connect to for some reason. Any ideas please Thank you Wayne
You probably do not have it configured correctly. SBS is designed to be implemented in a manner very specific. If not, it turns off every hour or two, because you're violating the license. Make sure you've done The Master FSMO server domain controller and not configuration to use a workgroup or suffer some other domain controllers. Frankly, SBS is fantastically reliable … SI is configured correctly. If you are running it into a business (as most users would be), I recommend you hire a specialist in Small Business Server to configure the server properly – A guy who really knows IS NOT THE SAME server, and if you have considerable experience with SBS, you could end up costing much more in the long term.
