Raid Array
Are all RAID 5 array’s in the same exact format – or do different brand controllers make incompatible volumes?
If you are lucky you can restore RAID with different hardware components, but usually they array is created with certain algorithm used only on a particular controller. Better if you get same hardware at least to read the data, then recreate the array on a new one and restore the data. Otherwise you might end up with an excess of corrupted files.
