I have a laptop an old has a PS2 Port no USB can I plug in an adapter and run a USB device from it?
This Computer is an IBM thinkpad 760E laptop running windows 98 I need to be able to transfer DATA to and from it or set up an internet connection I have no NIC card and don’t want to buy one and I have no USB ports I have a wireless adapter that plugs into USB and I have a jump drive.. It is crucial since this laptop also has no CD-ROM drive.. Can I get an Adapter PS2 to USB and Adapt the PS2 Port for the External mouse into a USB port so that it will except USB devices such as my Flash Drive or my Belkin Wireless Network Adapter? What should I do? I’m about to start ripping my hair out it’s frustrating!!! Thanx!
No – the only usb devices you’ll be able to plug into a PS2 port with a converter are a keyboard or a mouse.
