Mediasmart Server
I have just ordered a HP MediaSmart Server home. I have a xbox 360 and a laptop and need to connect, help!?
I have a xbox 360 and an adapter wireless laptop with wireless (b / g) and a bt home center, just got a MediaSmart Server and want to connect everything together. problem is that I have the cable 360 in the adaptop ready to configure the mobile computer to the server documentation says it has to be connected to the Internet via cable only, it does not is too much of a concern, but I'm worried that ill get slowdown much play through Xbox Live wirelessly connected to the server has the same connection, please help ……
If you plan on streaming multimedia content from the server or laptop to the Xbox I recommend using a cable connection. Not enough bandwidth through wireless controller for Xbox things flow from the server. I tried it myself and switched back to the cable connection. What I have done is connected the Xbox directly to my internet router, my PC connected directly to the router, and my wireless laptop to the router. Just choose which device is used as a wireless access point and go from there. I would recommend that the sending BT is your wireless access point instead of your server after all, that is what has been designed to do.
