Dual Core Xeon
Intel Xeon or Intel Core 2 Duo?
Hi Guys I am thinking of buying a Dell computer with Intel Core 2 Duo or Dual Core E6300 or Intel ® Xeon ® Processor 5060. In both cases, I'll have 2 GB of RAM at 667 MHz Now my question is, what is better? I will use this computer to run heavy programs of the simulation. I do not need it for gaming or entertainment that which renders the calculation; basically it worth paying extra $ 300 for the Xeon, or not? I will use it in a bit of Windows XP 32-bt 32 software. Thanks a lot
Core 2 Duo, may be more expensive, but you have AMD's new socket AM2 processors and above, but do not know why. I also heard that since they are portable processors, which consume much less energy.
