Compaq Proliant
How I can setup a RAID 5 on an old Compaq Proliant server?
I have 4 hard drives each GB@10.000 9.1 RPM. The server has a driver SCSI array that come with it, I belive it is 3200.
"While RAID 5 is commonly applied to a disk controller with hardware support for parity calculation, can be done at the level of operating system with Windows "dynamic disks" or mdadm on Linux. A minimum of three disks is required to complete RAID 5 configuration. "
